Selecting the right solar proposal software for your business can be challenging. It needs to be efficient, work well for your processes, and help you create the most suitable quotations for both you and your clients. To help you gain more insight, we’ve reviewed OpusFlow and five other European companies that offer solar proposal software.

Using solar proposal software enables you to streamline the entire sales process. It allows you to create detailed quotations quickly, with calculations and visualizations, without taking much time away from your core work. Read more in this article about the features, packages, prices, and reviews of OpusFlow and other companies offering solar proposal software.

The five companies we researched are PV*SOL, EasySolar, SolarGraf, Aurora Plan, and OpusFlow, all operating in Europe.

The pricing includes 6 months of maintenance, after which there is an additional cost of €233.10 for the premium version and €161.10 for PVSOL each time. The licensing periods are 3 or 12 months. More information can be found here.

Previous customers mentioned in Google reviews that they enjoyed using the free online version and found the program up-to-date. However, one customer noted that the 3D area was not current. See PV SOL reviews here.

Solar Graf

Based in: Berlin, Germany

There are no differences in the features offered by SolarGraf packages; all packages come with the same features. Customers can request a free demo to learn more about how the program works. The differences between the packages lie in the number of users. Table 2 shows SolarGraf’s packages, including the total price per month, price per user per month, and price per additional user per month. More information is available here.

SolarGraf Packages Total Price/Per Month Price Per User/Per Month Price Per Additional User/Per Month

Note: These packages and prices include more features than just the solar proposal options.

The features offered by SolarGraf that are relevant for creating solar proposals include:

  • Customized proposal templates and contract integration using Docusign
  • Easy and flexible financing options

Previous customers on Capterra noted that SolarGraf helps them create professional quotations and optimize panel placement in drawings. However, some mentioned that there are too many financing options for customers to choose from, that the shading software is less functional, and that certain calculations were off. See Solar Graf reviews here.

Aurora Solar

Based in: San Francisco, California

Aurora Solar splits its services into two categories: Sell and Deliver. The category contains features that are relevant for creating solar proposals which include:

  • Creates contracts
  • Uses e-signature
  • Activity tracking
  • Customized proposals, can edit yourself
Aurora Plan Packages Price Per User/Per Month
Basic €159
Premium €259

Note: These prices contain the services for both the Sell and Deliver categories, not for only the solar proposal features.

The premium package differs from the basic package in several ways: HD imagery, bankable shade reports, battery storage, backup sizes, LIDAR-assisted modeling, and more—all included in the premium package. To help close deals, Aurora Plan uses third-party financing providers, meaning a second business is required to complete the contract before it is presented to the client. More details are available here.

Previous users commented on Google reviews about the precision of the drawings and the ease of use of the design tools. However, after the release of the new V2 version, some users began encountering issues that were not present before. See Aurora Solar reviews here.

Solar Monkey

Based in: Den Haag, The Netherlands

The features provided by SolarMonkey to its customers that are relevant for creating solar proposals include:

  • Customizable offer templates
  • Markup pricing, discounts, or package prices
  • Helps to calculate and present the costs and benefits
  • Can add non-PV products to proposals such as EV chargers, batteries, and heat pumps

SolarMonkey makes use of an external platform called Pipedrive to enhance lead generation. This integration enables customers to research their sales funnels, streamline planning, and access detailed reporting. However, it’s worth noting that the website does not currently provide pricing information for these services.

Google reviews indicate that many users appreciate the software for its ease of use and quick quote generation. However, experiences with communication have been mixed. While some customers reported positive interactions, others faced challenges, including delays in responses and miscommunication when attempting to cancel their subscription. In particular, one customer noted that their conversation with management did not go as smoothly as expected. See Solar Monkey reviews here.

2Solar

Based in: Zwolle, The Netherlands

2Solar offers a range of software products; regarding solar proposals, the following features are included:

  • Automatic article list
  • Own quote template as well as ready-made templates
  • Choose payment terms
  • All materials and prices which will be calculated

Despite being a significant competitor of OpusFlow, 2Solar’s product options are somewhat limited. For example, even though 2Solar offers e-signature functionality for quotations and contracts, this feature is made possible by an outside provider called Sign2Cloud. OpusFlow, on the other hand, improves user convenience by integrating e-signature technology directly into their program. Read more here.

In a price comparison, 2Solar ranked lower than its competitors because of its complicated pricing structure. The price per user was a lot higher than the competitors' software.

Google reviews highlight that customers enjoy using the software and appreciate the company’s collaborative approach. While one user found the layout to be less efficient, the overall feedback has been positive. See 2Solar reviews here.
